VDS2024 has just launched its Call for Speakers, inviting experts to participate. The international tech event, organized by Startup Valencia, is set to take place on the 23rd and 24th of October at the City of Arts and Sciences, aiming to surpass all its previous records once again.
Startup Valencia expects this seventh edition to host over 12,000 attendees from more than 100 different countries; over 700 investors with a combined investment portfolio of more than 10 billion euros, and will feature the participation of more than 500 renowned international speakers and over 2,500 startups.
As Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, explains, the presentations at VDS are “one of the major draws of the event due to the caliber of its participants”. “The last edition brought together internationally acclaimed entrepreneurs like Miguel Santos, who sold his startup Technisys at a valuation of 1.1 billion dollars; experts from major tech firms like Alejandro Mullor, WW Public Sector Digital Strategist, Tourism Lead at Microsoft; world-class investors like Dagmar Van Ravenswaay from Lumo Labs; global icons like Vala Afshar, Chief Digital Evangelist at Salesforce Tower; and leaders of multinational companies like Ángel Rivera, CEO of Santander Spain; and Ángel Sáenz, Country Manager for Spain and Portugal at LinkedIn, among many others. This year, we aim to continue this trend to solidify VDS’s international standing as a global epicentre of technological innovation for a week,” he comments.
Startup Valencia also anticipates exceeding the number of speaker applications from the last edition, when over 500 proposals from more than 40 countries were submitted.
Under the theme for VDS2024 ‘Embracing evolution: Invest in the leaders of tomorrow‘, the international tech event will examine the positive impact of the technological revolution on society through the voices of the most prominent leaders in the global innovation and technology ecosystem. They will highlight the latest global trends in artificial intelligence, mobility, sustainability, health, and blockchain.
Who is this call aimed at?
This invitation is open to C-level executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and international leaders who inspire and analyze the application of various technologies in solving the main challenges society faces today. The session should address a current topic, exploring the role of technology in the major social and economic challenges at a global level. Once selected as a speaker, you will receive a Speaker Pass for yourself and an additional Business Pass, access to the Speakers Lounge, and visibility on social media as a speaker at VDS2024.
The deadline for proposal submissions is June 16, and notifications of accepted proposals will start being sent out on June 24.
