A representative delegation of the Valencian tech ecosystem formed by Invest in València, Startup Valencia and Social Nest Foundation promoted the opportunities offered by the city of Valencia’s tech sector at the globally recognised tech event, Web Summit Lisbon. The three organisations took part in a round table with the participation of Nacho Mas (CEO of Startup Valencia), Margarita Albors (Founder and President of Social Nest Foundation) and María Escartí (Managing Director at Invest in València).
The main objective of the appearance, according to María Escartí, is to “raise international awareness of the city of Valencia and promote it as a major hub for investment and talent, and what better place to do this than at the Web Summit”. She also highlighted the activity carried out by the Invest in Valencia office, noting that “all these operations represent more than €1.53 million of investment in the city and the creation of more than 400 jobs for the coming years”.
Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, had this to say: “The main objective of Startup Valencia is to highlight the value of our innovation ecosystem and make it known internationally to attract business opportunities and economic competitiveness to the Valencian Community. This joint participation in a major global event such as Web Summit in Lisbon is an ideal opportunity to showcase the technological potential of our region at an international level”.
According to Margarita Albors, Founder and President of Social Nest Foundation, “At Social Nest we have been collaborating for many years with the startup and investment ecosystem of Valencia, as well as positioning the city internationally through our programs and activities. Being at a global event that brings together so much talent, innovation, tech and investment worldwide is a great opportunity to publicize the opportunities that Valencia offers, and thus continue to collaborate in improving and growing the ecosystem of the city, in addition to attracting talent, innovation, tech and international investment to Valencia and enriching the ecosystem towards solutions that offer greater sustainability and social impact on the region”.
