The Valencian innovative ecosystem receives a new impetus through the collaborative agreement signed between EY and Startup Valencia. These two organisations are joining forces to foster connections between Valencian startups and various stakeholders, including institutions, investors and global corporations.

This partnership will further strengthen the global reach of Valencia Digital Summit 2023 (VDS2023), scheduled for the 26th and 27th of October. The consulting firm will compile a report to assess the economic impact of the event, enabling the measurement of the Valencian ecosystem’s value and significance, both in the region and in Spain as a whole. The primary objective of this report is to evaluate the event’s impact on the economy and employment, shedding light on the weight carried by this international tech event.

Furthermore, EY professionals will actively participate in the VDS2023 programme by delivering valuable presentations aimed at entrepreneurs and startups within the ecosystem. Mario Rodríguez, Director at EY-Parthenon and an expert on tech-driven transformation, will moderate the round table discussion titled ‘Exploring the Evolution: The Future Landscape of EUROPE‘ on the 26th of October. THe discussion will feature Neema Balolebwami, founder of Emea Venture Builder, Óscar Cantalejo, Head of Perseo Iberdrola, and Pablo Montoliu, Chief Information and Innovation Officer (CIIO) of Aon.

On another note, Alfonso Núñez, Director at EY-Parthenon and head of the Digital Strategy and Innovation practice in Spain, will join Juan Cumbrado, Director of Innovation at Mapfre, Natalia Álvarez, Senior Analyst in Open Innovation at Repsol, and Dámaso Cebrián, CIO of Santander Corporate Banking, for the round table discussion titled ‘How to Innovate Transformation in Big Corporations‘, scheduled for the 27th.

According to Juan Luis Hortelano, President of Startup Valencia, this strategic agreement represents “a significant opportunity for all the stakeholders within our ecosystem”, adding that, “It brings forth EY’s expertise and resources, offering specialised and personalised guidance that is fully aligned with the needs of high-growth companies“.

David Samu, Lead Partner of EY-Parthenon, expressed his thoughts on the collaboration with Startup Valencia, stating, “This strategic partnership between EY and Startup Valencia marks a significant step in fostering growth and innovation within the Valencian entrepreneurial landscape. Whenever we engage with startups, we are enthusiastic about collaborating and aiding their access to resources, investors, and growth opportunities to the best of our ability. Valencia Digital Summit 2023 will serve as a pivotal event for evaluating and spotlighting the economic impact that these companies have on the region and the entire country“.
