VDS, in collaboration with Area101, gathers in Madrid a select group of innovation executives from large corporations to co-create the agenda of the first edition of the Corporate Innovation Summit, an initiative that connects the real challenges of large companies with the entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem.
The meeting, held at La Cabina, Telefónica‘s technology innovation centre, brought together 15 innovation leaders who will act as ambassadors for the event and will contribute to defining the strategic content of VDS 2026 from a corporate perspective.
Among the participating companies are Wayra, Telefónica, Acciona, Ikea, Mahou San Miguel, Renfe, Santalucía, Moeve, Roadis, Ineco, Ocean Winds, Valoriza and HNA, representing key sectors such as energy, mobility, infrastructure, retail and insurance.
During the session, participants identified the main challenges faced by large organisations in a context of accelerated transformation, as well as the trends that will shape the innovation agenda in the coming years.
The session made it possible to prioritise key topics, explore new formats of collaboration between corporations and startups, and define the profiles of leaders and experts who should be part of the Corporate Innovation Summit.
With this initiative, VDS directly integrates large companies into its value proposition, aligning the event’s content with the strategic challenges of corporations.
As Juan Luis Hortelano, president of Startup Valencia, the organising entity of VDS, points out, “incorporating innovation leaders into the agenda design allows us to align the international technology event with the real challenges of corporations”. “Our goal is to build a space where innovation is not only shared, but activated in the form of concrete collaborations and business opportunities”, he stressed.
