Valencia Digital Summit is introducing a new feature for its sixth edition. The internationally renowned tech event, to be held on the 26th and 27th of October in the City of Arts and Sciences, has partnered with DreamHack to promote and boost the gaming and eSports sector within the Valencian innovation ecosystem.
This sector is experiencing rapid expansion within the tech sphere in the Valencia Region. According to the Startup Observatory of the Valencian Community, prepared by Startup Valencia, it was among the sectors that experienced the most significant growth in 2022. Notably, the number of startups emerging in this sector increased by almost 10%.
Valencia Digital Summit, serving as an international meeting point for startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and corporates, will elevate the visibility of the latest tech trends in the industry. Juan Luis Hortelano, President of Startup Valencia, emphasised that, “The event provides an exceptional opportunity to showcase the most recent projects in this field to the more than 10,000 attendees expected, as well as to forge connections and the creation of valuable synergies“.

The DreamHack Gaming Area at VDS2023 will serve as the central hub for all activities related to the gaming sector during the tech event, catering to both visitors and exhibitors.
Participating startups will have the chance to compete in a SIM Racing competition, an esports format that simulates car racing in a virtual environment. There will also be Beat Saber competitions, a popular Virtual Reality game that combines music, rhythm and action. Participants will use VR headsets and controllers to play and compete in selected songs. Moreover, there will be non-competitive VR activities with Beat Saber, enabling Valencia Digital Summit attendees to immerse themselves in the game firsthand.
VDS2023 will also include a PC gaming zone, providing attendees with the opportunity to enjoy free gaming sessions featuring the latest video games.
