The largest community of young impact entrepreneurs worldwide is betting on the Valencian startup ecosystem. With the aim of enhancing relationships and establishing collaboration channels, Startup Valencia, with the support of the Valencia City Council, organized a meeting yesterday at Las Naves that brought together over 50 people from the innovative and technological sector.

Sigma Squared Society has a presence on four continents and in 25 countries, seeking to empower outstanding young individuals to reach their goals faster, as well as promoting the presence of new leaders capable of accelerating positive impact and participating in the boards of global corporations, political bodies, and major institutions.

It is a global community of over 900 young entrepreneurs who, together, have raised more than 1.3 billion dollars and aim to change the world by proposing solutions to the major challenges faced by society in recent years.

Organizations founded by members of this community include successful startups such as GoStudent (Europe’s first Edtech unicorn), Enapter (winner of the Earthshot Prize, went public in 2020), Beyond Aero (first long-range hydrogen plane), and ClimateScience (educating millions on addressing climate change), among many others.

This was highlighted during the meeting, where actors from the Valencian innovative and technological ecosystem could exchange experiences and concerns with this group of young entrepreneurs, as well as emphasize the opportunities that the city of Valencia offers for entrepreneurship and innovation.

Paula Llobet, Councilor for Tourism, Innovation, and Investment Attraction at the City Council of Valencia, emphasized the importance of creating these international connections to position Valencia as a benchmark for innovation and attracting the best young talent worldwide. Llobet highlighted “the virtues of our ecosystem” to foster the creation of synergies “with spaces for innovation and networking, a high quality of life, a privileged climate, and a friendly environment.”

As Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, also pointed out, “to drive and consolidate Valencia as an international technological hub, it is essential to attract the best startups in the world.” “The interest of a community like Sigma Squared Society, with over 900 ambitious young impact entrepreneurs under 26 years old, in our city is a sign that we are on the right track in our international scaling,” he commented.

Aurelia Liechtenstein, Spain Executive for Sigma Squared Society, stated, “What Valencia can offer, not only in terms of lifestyle, culture, and gastronomy but also in innovation and entrepreneurship, is impressive and very appealing to young entrepreneurs.” She added that technological events like VDSare a great opportunity to invite the international community to Valencia and showcase everything happening here.”

The meeting also featured the participation of Ana-Maria Pricop, co-founder of Outdid.io, and Ernesto Buñuel, co-founder of Zynergic, both members of Sigma Squared Society, who shared their experiences as successful entrepreneurs. Fran Villalba, founder and CEO of Internxt and a member of Startup Valencia, also participated, outlining the opportunities that the Valencian innovative ecosystem offers to young entrepreneurs.
