Elias Veris, Head of Global Operations at Google for Startups; Sebastian Greiss, Head of Startup Partnering at Siemens Mobility, and Gonzalo Galindo, President of CEMEX Ventures, have already confirmed their participation as speakers at Valencia Digital Summit (VDS2022). The fifth edition of the Valencia region’s flagship tech event, organised by Startup Valencia, will take place from the 24th to the 26th of October at the City of Arts and Sciences and will feature more than 300 internationally renowned speakers.

Other recognised leaders in the tech and innovation sphere, including leading entrepreneurs from highly scalable startups, international investors with a portfolio of more than €6 billion to invest next year, and key agents in the ecosystem, have also already confirmed their participation as speakers: Ton van’t Noordende, investor in Quantum Delta NL Infinity; Felipe Navío, CoCEO and Co-Founder of Jobandtalent; Lina Chong, Investment Director at Target Global; Pep Gómez, Founder of Reby and Fever; Javier Megias, VC and Startup Director at Bankinter VC; Eloi Gómez, CEO at Jeff; Patricia Pastor, Managing Director at GoHub Ventures; Yolanda Pérez, Head of BStartup at Banco Sabadell, and Javier Jiménez, General Director at Lanzadera, among others.

All of them will align themselves with the event’s motto, ‘Inspiring the Good Future‘, to showcase how technology, innovation and digitalisation are building a better future and why they are fundamental in tackling the main social and economic challenges facing society.

As explains Juan Luis Hortelano, President of Startup Valencia: “for the fifth consecutive year, Valencia Digital Summit will bring together the most relevant players in the national entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as major leading figures from the international scene. This tech event is one of the key factors for the consolidation of Valencia as the third leading tech hub in Spain“.

Great prospects

The entrepreneurs participating in Valencia Digital Summit 2022 will have the opportunity to showcase their projects to the more than 10,000 attendees expected this year, including 1,500+ startups, 250+ investors and 150+ corporations.

Pre-registration for attendees and collaborators who wish to get involved in the event is now open, as is the call for entries for the event’s startup competition, VDS2022 Competition, which will close its registration period on the 31st of July.

The event will include a completely free section open to the public where attendees will be able to enjoy exhibition areas showcasing the latest trends, tech innovations and disruptive products by means of interactive experiences, all with the aim of highlighting the existing talent in the Valencian Community, attracting investment to the region, and creating business opportunities between corporations and startups. As a novelty of the fifth edition of this event, the event will feature a paid B2B forum with exclusive content and activities for professionals, Summit Pro.

The fifth edition of VDS coincides with the 5th anniversary of Startup Valencia, the association of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Valencian Community, which aims to represent the region’s startups, boost the competitiveness of the Valencian economy and turn the region into an internationally recognised tech hub.

An international tech event

Since its first edition in 2018, Valencia Digital Summit has recorded exponential growth that has led it to become a globally recognised tech event. In the last edition alone, held on the 15th and 16th of December 2021 and attended by leaders of world-renowned companies such as Airbus, Google and Amazon, as well as consolidated startups such as Jeff, Jobandtalent and Gorillas, the summit generated an economic impact of more than €4.8 million and gathered more than 10,000 people – 5000 of which attended online. In addition, 20% of attendees came from abroad and from up to 25 different countries.
