Three years, 26 new cybersecurity companies incorporated, 40 startups accelerated and more than 90 entrepreneur teams. With these figures on the table, the Cybersecurity Startup Program, driven by INCIBE (National Cybersecurity Institute) and Startup Valencia with the collaboration of Valencia Innovation Capital, has closed its third edition with the celebration of its Demo Day.

The project was born with the objective of integrating cybersecurity as a strategic lever in the Spanish entrepreneurial fabric. Over three editions, it has consolidated two complementary lines of work, incubation and acceleration, and has become one of the national benchmarks for entrepreneurship in this sector.

The incubation programme has hosted 55 projects since its first edition. Of these, 26 have ended up being incorporated as companies, and 6 have made the leap to the acceleration programme, completing the full maturation cycle within the same ecosystem.

In parallel, the acceleration programme has worked with 40 startups, of which around 10 have joined Lanzadera, the accelerator of Juan Roig.

The more than 90 teams that have participated in both programmes have passed through the coworking space of València Innovation Capital and have had access to specialised training and leading mentors. Throughout these three editions, companies such as McAfee, Prosegur, Internxt, Flywire, OVHcloud, Plug and Play Tech Center, Draper B1, Nunsys, Sofistic, Bigbuy, Sales Layer, Biyectiva Technology, ByteHide Solutions, Elewit, Trazable, Healz, Plexicus, Area 101, A2SECURE, Red Room, Zubi Labs, Shakers, wavveup, Rudo Apps – Laberit and Saas Growth, among others, have taken part.

As Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, highlights, this programme “is an example of what can be achieved when institutions, corporations, students and entrepreneurs work towards a common goal: positioning our technological ecosystem as a European benchmark in cybersecurity, a strategic sector”.

For her part, from INCIBE, Pilar de Cos González-Taladriz, Head of Business Promotion and Business Development, underlines “the essential work of the collaborating entities, thanks to which this programme has managed to reach the entire Spanish geography”, consolidating itself as a benchmark in the promotion of entrepreneurship.

In this regard, the INCIBE Emprende initiative already exceeds 85,000 participants, with 1,086 projects in incubation programmes and 404 startups in acceleration.

Demo Day 2026

The Demo Day event held at La Harinera brought together 10 startups from the acceleration programme and the 5 best projects from the incubation programme of this edition. The event, which featured the participation of Nacho Mas, CEO of Startup Valencia, and Estrella Martínez, Business Promotion and Business Development technician at INCIBE, included a talk with entrepreneurs from previous editions. Joaquín Montesinos, from Data Origin; Noelia Zapata, from Vesta Z, and Susanna Piquer, from OctoCypher, shared their experience after going through the programme.

Amaia Cuida, a tool to apply Person-Centred Care (PCC), was named winner of the acceleration programme, awarded with €10,000. The winner of the incubation programme was PrevenSys, a solution that provides advanced segmentation to facilitate the early diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis, which received €5,000. In addition, Mentelem, a solution created to improve emotional wellbeing in companies, was recognised as Cybersecurity Winner.

The three teams will also receive 1 year of hot desk at La Harinera, participation in VDS 2026 and access to the OVHcloud Startup Program.

Voicit, Wedify and Aintegra Limited have also been selected to present their projects at VDS 2026, and all participating startups will receive 1 year of free membership at Startup Valencia and 5 passes for VDS 2026.
