From June 13 to 15, WMF2024 took place, an international technology event that annually brings together the best in digital and social innovation, including leading international players, startups, investors, institutions, universities, and organizations.
Startup Valencia participated in this event held in the Italian city of Bologna, representing the Spanish innovation ecosystem and positioning national startups as leaders in developing disruptive projects and solutions.
This marks the third time that Startup Valencia has attended this international technology event to represent emerging companies and showcase their potential. This year, six startups gathered at their booth: Avamed Synergy, Shintek, Fennech, Quasar Dynamics, CaaS Live, and Venturest.
Additionally, Startup Valencia also took part in several activities organized during the event. Karina Virrueta, Head of Innovation Ecosystem at Startup Valencia, participated in the panel “Innovation and Internationalization: Synergies between Enabling Technologies, SMEs, and Startups,” sharing the discussion table with Camilla Rangoni from Geopolis; Mariangela Sicilian, Head of Education, Business Promotion & Supply Chain at SAC; and Olga Zocco, Business Partner at ABA – Invest in Australia. This roundtable discussed collaboration between startups and companies and open innovation.
Karina also served as a judge for the final of the WMF2024 Startup Competition. The six finalist startups presented their projects in 3-minute pitches on June 14, with BaseTracK and Intuos emerging as the winners.
