Be part of the Startup Valencia community made up of 48,000+ professionals

Valencia consolidates its position in 2025 as one of Europe’s most dynamic technology hubs. Startup Valencia closes the year with significant growth that reinforces this trend: the community that brings together the innovative ecosystem has now reached 48,000 professionals, representing a 36% increase compared to 2024. The private, non-profit organisation, founded in 2017, has also added 57 new members, reaching a total of 407 partners.

The community stands out for its increasingly international profile, with more than 360 foreign professionals who have chosen Valencia to develop their technology projects. Within Europe, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands account for the highest number of professionals, while outside the European Union the United States, the United Kingdom and Ukraine stand out.

At the same time, 37 organisations are now directly supporting the development of innovative entrepreneurship in the Valencian Community, adding thirteen companies as supporters and strategic collaborators. These include leading technology firms such as HubSpot, FreeNow, Glovo and Qonto.

Startup Valencia’s activity has also seen a notable boost. Throughout the year, more than 180 professional events were organised, a 20% increase compared to 2024, bringing together over 25,000 attendees. These figures confirm the growing interest in the Valencian tech ecosystem and its ability to generate high-value business opportunities for startups, corporates and investors.

International expansion

One of the organisation’s strategic priorities this year has been to strengthen Valencia’s international projection as a technology hub. To this end, Startup Valencia has driven four key alliances with Medellín, Copenhagen, Lisbon and Tallinn, aimed at facilitating the entry of Valencian startups into new markets, attracting global investment and promoting talent mobility.

In Medellín, the signed partnership establishes a direct bridge with Latin America. The agreement enables soft-landing programmes, product validation, commercial opportunities and connections with key stakeholders such as Ruta N, Universidad EAFIT, Fedesoft and local investment funds. At the same time, it encourages the arrival of Latin American talent and investment in Valencia as a gateway to Europe.

In Europe, the agreement with TechBBQ brings Copenhagen into Startup Valencia’s international network. This collaboration opens new pathways for internationalisation, talent mobility and shared use of technological infrastructure, while also fostering joint initiatives between Spain and Denmark.

With Lisbon, Startup Valencia has formalised an alliance with Unicorn Factory Lisboa to reinforce the role of both cities as Southern Europe’s technology hubs. The agreement includes cross-initiatives in entrepreneurship, shared workspaces, joint participation in VDS and Web Summit, and sector-focused programmes linked to sustainability, artificial intelligence, gaming and Web3.

Finally, during VDS 2025, the organisation renewed its agreement with the Estonian Government’s e-Residency programme and the City of Tallinn. The cooperation, launched in 2024, has consolidated itself as a European benchmark for entrepreneurial collaboration and has driven initiatives such as the international hackathon Hack the Future, focused on sustainable technological solutions for urban resilience and natural disaster management.

These alliances add to existing partnerships with Amsterdam, Miami, Munich, Rotterdam and The Hague, expanding the global network through which Valencia projects its innovative and technological ecosystem. The latest edition of VDS, held last October at the City of Arts and Sciences, further reinforced this strategy with a new record in international participation: of the 12,000 professionals attending, 45% came from more than 120 countries.

Priorities for 2026

Looking ahead to 2026, Startup Valencia’s central objective is to consolidate and expand its global community of technology founders, supporting them as they scale their projects. The organisation will strengthen its presence in strategic markets across Europe and the Americas through soft-landing programmes, business missions and initiatives designed to attract international talent and investment. The goal is to drive the sustainable growth of Valencian startups, expand their access to global clients and reinforce their competitiveness in high-value technology sectors.

Next year will also see a deeper focus on local entrepreneurial leadership. Startup Valencia will promote the role of Valencian tech founders as ecosystem ambassadors, strengthening their strategic development, international visibility and access to high-level networks. Connecting established entrepreneurs with new initiatives will be key to projecting a cohesive, competitive and globally oriented tech Valencia.

“Valencia today has a solid, connected technology ecosystem with growing international projection. In 2026, our focus will be on supporting founders so they can scale more strongly and compete from here in global markets,” says Nacho Mas, CEO & Executive VP of Startup Valencia.
