For those who may not know you yet, what is Dekalabs and what is your mission within the tech sector?
Dekalabs (part of the Bit2Me Group) is a technology consultancy specialized in the design and development of custom digital solutions. For over a decade, we’ve worked with companies truly committed to innovation, supporting them in their digital transformation and in adopting emerging technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Our mission is clear: to help organizations build tech products that are sustainable, scalable, and genuinely useful for their users.
Dekalabs has shown a strong commitment to emerging technologies, particularly in the blockchain space. Could you share some of the most notable projects you’ve recently developed or are currently working on?
Over the years, we’ve worked on projects for renowned companies such as FC Barcelona, Metrovacesa, Bit2Me, Mastercard, Sanitas, Dahl, Bayer Agrotech, and Bauhaus, among many others.
Our goal has always been to support organizations seeking to innovate and digitally transform their processes, products, or services. We continue to collaborate with all kinds of companies, from startups in need of a solid product to large corporations, providing tailored technological solutions.
One of the most exciting projects we’re currently developing in Valencia is the super app for the Roig Arena stadium. This app brings together services like ticketing, food and beverage, exclusive content, and parking—all in a single platform.
In your opinion, what are the main challenges and opportunities AI presents for startups in Valencia? And how can Dekalabs support them in integrating this technology?
The main challenge is adopting AI in a responsible and strategic way. Many startups are enthusiastic, but sometimes lack a deep understanding of data, algorithmic bias, or the infrastructure required to scale AI solutions.
The opportunity is huge: Valencia has strong talent, leading universities, and a tech ecosystem that’s increasingly dynamic. At Dekalabs, we help companies translate AI into real, viable, user-centered projects—offering everything from tech audits to product development and data strategy consulting.
What kind of impact would you like to generate in the tech community through your collaboration as supporters of Startup Valencia?
We want to be a driving force for the ethical, sustainable, and human-centered adoption of technology. Our goal is to share knowledge, inspire new entrepreneurs, and help strengthen an ecosystem where innovation and responsibility go hand in hand. We’re also committed to fostering collaboration among established companies, startups, and young talent.
Valencia is becoming a major international tech hub. From your experience, what opportunities does the city offer to boost and scale innovative projects?
Valencia offers a powerful combination: high quality of life, competitive costs, highly skilled talent, and a solid and growing support ecosystem. The city is also investing heavily in urban innovation, sustainability, and attracting tech investment. This creates a fertile ground for launching and scaling projects with global potential.
VDS will celebrate its eighth edition on October 22–23 at the City of Arts and Sciences. What role do you think this event plays in positioning Valencia’s ecosystem internationally?
VDS has become a global showcase for the Valencian tech ecosystem. It’s a unique opportunity for startups, investors, and international corporations to discover the potential of our city. Each edition has grown in both quality and reach, and we believe this year will be key to reinforcing Valencia’s image as a European benchmark in tech innovation.
You’ve participated in previous editions of VDS. How would you assess those experiences, and what are your expectations for this year?
Our experience in past editions has been very positive. VDS has always been a meeting point to spot trends, make valuable connections, and share insights. This year, we’re looking forward to building new strategic partnerships and, above all, contributing actively to the conversation around AI’s impact on the future of business.
What goals and upcoming projects do you have on the horizon for the coming months?
In the months ahead, our main goal is to continue growing in key areas such as applied AI and process automation—fields where we see great potential to deliver value to our clients.
We’re also investing in tech outreach through our YouTube channel, Dekalabs Tech, a space where we share knowledge, trends, and real-world cases that reflect our practical and innovative approach.
