Mª José Catalá, Mayor of Valencia; Paula Llobet, City Councillor for Tourism, Innovation, and Investment Attraction; and Juan Luis Hortelano and Nacho Mas, President and CEO of Startup Valencia, the organization behind VDS, officially kicked off VDS2024 by unveiling the large sculpture featuring the logo of the international tech event, installed in the Town Hall square.

As Mª José Catalá explained, “This tech event positions Valencia as the global epicenter of innovation and as a benchmark for the global startup ecosystem.”

For his part, Juan Luis Hortelano emphasized the role of VDS as “a driver of Valencia’s economy towards a more competitive and disruptive global stage.

With this event, Valencia prepares for the seventh edition of this international tech gathering, which will take place on October 23 and 24 at the City of Arts and Sciences.

Throughout the month, VDS2024 will host a series of parallel events across the city, turning Valencia into a global tech hub. These events cover various themes and sectors, all centered on innovation and digital transformation, serving as a prelude to this must-attend annual event for the international innovation ecosystem.
