The fifth edition of Valencia Digital Summit, the international tech event for entrepreneurs, startups, corporations and investors organised by Startup Valencia, will be held from the 24th to the 26th of October at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
The Valencian Region’s flagship tech event has brought together the fundamental players in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as the leading figures in the international scene since 2018, and is a key factor in the consolidation of Valencia’s standing amongst the top tech hubs in Spain.
“Valencia has become the open innovation space for corporations and startups through its ecosystem of innovative and tech-oriented companies. Valencia Digital Summit is the vital catalyst for reinforcing these connections and, consequently, attracting talent, investment and business to the Valencian Community,” explains Juan Luis Hortelano, president of Startup Valencia.
Fueled by the main theme of “Inspiring the Good Future” and hosted at the iconic City of Arts and Sciences museum, Valencia Digital Summit 2022 (VDS2022) showcases how technology, innovation and digitization can change, impact and transform every aspect of our lives in a positive way and why they play a crucial role in tackling the major social and economic challenges facing society.
In this fifth edition, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to showcase their projects to the more than 10,000 people expected to attend this year. The event will feature over 300 presentations by renowned national and international speakers. It will also bring together 250+ investors, 150+ corporations and 1,500+ startups.
VDS2022 registration is now open for attendees and collaborators who wish to get involved in the event. One of the new features of the tech event’s latest edition is the launch of Summit Pro, a B2B forum with exclusive content and activities for entrepreneurs and business people in which they will be able to generate business opportunities.
The convention will also include a completely free section open to the public, where attendees will be able to enjoy exhibition areas in which the latest trends, tech innovations and disruptive products will be presented by means of interactive experiences with the aim of highlighting the existing talent in the Valencian Community, attracting investment to the region and creating business opportunities between corporations and startups.
An international tech event
Since its first edition in 2018, Valencia Digital Summit has recorded exponential growth that has led it to become an internationally recognised tech event. In the last edition alone, held on the 15th and 16th of December 2021 and attended by leaders of world-renowned companies such as Airbus, Google and Amazon, as well as consolidated startups such as Jeff, Jobandtalent and Gorillas, the summit generated an economic impact of more than 4.8€ million and gathered more than 10,000 people – 5000 of which attended online. In addition, 20% of attendees came from abroad and from up to 25 different countries.
The fifth edition of VDS coincides with the 5th anniversary of Startup Valencia, the association representing the Valencian Community’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, which aims to promote startups in the region, boost the competitiveness of the Valencian economy and turn Valencia into a tech hub of international relevance.
