Fivecomm, short for 5G Communications for Future Industry Verticals S.L., is an SME focused on the use and implementation of 5G mobile technologies for industrial and mobility applications. Founded in 2019, the company is a spin-off of the iTEAM (Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications) research institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Today, the company has 16 employees located in Valencia, Spain. Fivecomm addresses the real-world needs of industry and enables business-to-business (B2B) market opportunities through 5G connectivity. Some of Fivecomm’s core activities include the research, design, development, production, integration, and validation of systems, solutions, and products that leverage 5G and advanced 5G in public or private networks. By facilitating the end-to-end integration of hardware and software, Fivecomm realizes 5G use cases in vertical industries such as automotive, energy and utilities, Industry 4.0, entertainment, and smart cities. Its capabilities also include the development of industrial applications (NetApps) capable of being hosted in the cloud or at the edge.
