HP, the US tech company based in Palo Alto, California, has joined Startup Valencia to actively participate in the Valencian entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through this collaboration agreement, the American firm reinforces the consolidation of the Valencian Community as an internationally recognised tech hub.
This collaboration has taken shape in two ways. On the one hand, HP has joined Startup Valencia as a Corporate Partner. In this regard, the company will contribute to the revitalisation of the ecosystem through open innovation projects with startups. In addition, this agreement will promote and attract talent, a key aspect for HP, which has a centre in Valencia dedicated to software development and innovation, which requires profiles linked to Information Technology (ICT) with knowledge in the development of cloud applications, artificial intelligence and software quality.
On the other hand, HP has also become a Silver Sponsor of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS2022), the internationally recognised tech event of the Valencian region, which this year will celebrate its fifth edition from the 24th to the 26th of October at the City of Arts and Sciences. With this alliance, Startup Valencia will provide the American company with a unique setting in which to present its innovative initiatives to the world’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. HP also joined to reinforce the scope and impact of this annual meeting point for entrepreneurs, startups, corporations and investors.
Throughout the programme of activities that VDS2022 will deploy, HP’s innovative projects will be presented to the more than 10,000 people from over 30 different countries that are expected to attend.
As Juan Luis Hortelano, president of Startup Valencia, explained: “this double agreement is excellent news for the region, as adding the support of a prestigious tech company like HP to the association and to VDS2022 is a great boost for the innovation ecosystem of the Valencian Community”.
