Conselleria de Economía Sostenible, Sectores Productivos, Comercio y Trabajo has reaffirmed its support for Valencia Digital Summit (VDS), now in its fifth edition, after the success of the previous four editions held between 2018 and 2021.
The agreement between Startup Valencia and Conselleria de Economía, led by Rafa Climent, aims to strengthen the Valencian entrepreneurial ecosystem through fairs and events of national and international relevance and will attract innovative solutions that have a positive impact on the economy, the environment and society as a whole.
Rafa Climent, Conseller de Economía Sostenible, highlighted the “strength” of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Valencian Region, made up of 1,300 companies and entities, and the “important role of the tech sector as a driver of recovery for all that it contributes to digital transformation”.
“Valencia Digital Summit,” Climent added, “is the right environment for supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, cooperation, new technologies and sustainability, all of which are areas that Conselleria de Economía and its various entities have been working on”.
Throughout the programme of activities that the VDS will be running from the 24th to the 26th of October at the City of Arts and Sciences, public initiatives to support entrepreneurship will be presented to the more than 10,000 people expected to attend the international tech event.
The summit will also host the presentation of the LLAMP 3i initiative, an advanced acceleration programme promoted by Conselleria de Economía Sostenible, Sectores Productivos, Comercio y Trabajo that seeks to encourage companies to achieve triple impact, namely from a social, environmental and sustainable economy standpoint, in order to align them with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme includes initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and innovation such as training workshops, support from experts, and advice on grants and procedures.
VDS, the international tech event of the Valencian innovation ecosystem organised by Startup Valencia, has been bringing together the most relevant players in the national entrepreneurial scene as well as key international figures since 2018 and is essential for the consolidation of Valencia as a nationally recognised tech hub.
